Global Skill Development Mission (GSDM) is A Unit of Sova Education (I) Limited, established in 2010, dedicated to advancing vocational education and skill-based training across India. With a strong network of over 100 training centers, GSDM has been consistently contributing to the nation’s skill ecosystem since its inception. Global Skill Development Mission is an approved Training Partner of the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), Electronics Sector Skill Council, Telecom Sector Skill Council, and several State Skill Development Missions (SSDMs) including Haryana, Uttarakhand, and Rajasthan. In alignment with the Skill India Mission, GSDM aims to empower unemployed youth, school leavers, and college dropouts by providing outcome-based vocational training that enhances employability in both domestic and international markets. Since 2016, GSDM has successfully trained over 15,000 candidates in diverse job roles, contributing significantly to the nation’s skilled workforce.
Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY)About the Scheme: Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) is the flagship program of the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE), implemented by the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC). The primary objective of this Skill Certification Scheme is to empower Indian youth with industry-relevant skill training that enhances their employability and enables them to secure better livelihoods.Gramin Shiksha’s Contribution: Under the PMKVY 2.0 project, Gramin Shiksha served as a Training Partner of the Ministry of Skill Development and NSDC, successfully operating 11 Training Centers. Through this initiative, Gramin Shiksha trained and certified over 3,000 students in various job roles, supporting the mission’s goal of creating a skilled and employable workforce.Uttarakhand Skill Development Mission (UKSDM)About the Project: The Uttarakhand Skill Development Mission (UKSDM) was established in February 2013 under the guidance of the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Uttarakhand to address challenges of unemployment and enhance employability across both urban and rural districts of the state. The mission aims to train 6.5 lakh youth and ensure sustainable employment opportunities.Gramin Shiksha’s Contribution: In alignment with UKSDM’s objectives, Gramin Shiksha has played a key role by establishing a well-equipped Health Sector Training Center in Laksar, Haridwar. The center offers specialized training for Medical Lab Technicians and Emergency Medical Technicians, successfully training 240 students in the healthcare domain and contributing to the state’s skill development targets.PMKVY – Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)About the Project: Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is an important component of PMKVY designed to assess and certify individuals’ existing skills, knowledge, and experience acquired through formal, non-formal, or informal learning.In August 2018, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC) and the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) to upskill and certify 100,000 RAC service technicians on good servicing practices and alternative refrigerants. The project is funded under Skill India Mission – PMKVY and jointly implemented by ESSCI and the Ozone Cell.Gramin Shiksha’s Contribution: As an approved Training Partner with the Electronics Sector Skill Council (ESSCI), Gramin Shiksha has trained more than 10,000 RAC Technicians under PMKVY-RPL across seven states — Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Himachal Pradesh — significantly contributing to the national upskilling initiative.Rajasthan Skill and Livelihoods Development Corporation (RSLDC)About the Project: Rajasthan became the first state in India to establish a dedicated Mission for Livelihoods in September 2004 to tackle unemployment and promote sustainable livelihoods. In 2009–10, the Rajasthan Mission on Skill and Livelihoods introduced specialized action plans to strengthen skill development and enhance employability among the working population.Gramin Shiksha’s Contribution: Gramin Shiksha was empanelled as a Training Partner with RSLDC in 2019 and is currently implementing the Regular Skill Training Programme (RSTP) in Ganganagar district, Rajasthan, with a target of 120 candidates, helping local youth gain valuable vocational skills.Haryana Skill Development Mission (HSDM)About the Project: The Haryana Skill Development Mission (HSDM) was launched in May 2015 by the Government of Haryana to empower the youth and enable their participation in the economic and social growth of both the state and the nation. Acting as a central coordinating body, HSDM integrates the skill development initiatives of various departments to achieve state-wide training and employment targets.Gramin Shiksha’s Contribution: Gramin Shiksha has been empanelled as a Training Partner with HSDM since 2019 and currently implements multiple schemes under the mission, including PMKVY, SURYA, and SAKSHAM, across six districts of Haryana. Through these initiatives, Gramin Shiksha aims to train 950 candidates, providing them with industry-ready skills and employment opportunities.
